To mark the occasion of the International Milan Furniture Fair, bulthaup's flagship store in the via Durini showcased a wealth of new possibilities for planning kitchens and living spaces. At the forefront of the displays were bulthaup b3 innovations such as the new gas hob, the new fronts and the new worktops.

By developing its own gas hob, bulthaup is following on from the success of its multi-award-winning water points. The professional hob, with four burners, forms a sensual and functional unit in combination with the water point. Using a unique laser welding method developed specially for bulthaup, the lowered gas hob is integrated seamlessly and flush into the worktop. Functional working at just one level forms the basis for the perfect symbiosis of cooking and water points. The linear arrangement of the burners is also practical from an ergonomic perspective. Moreover, it accentuates the gas hob's sculptural character. The concept, which is identical for both elements, transforms fire and water into a natural unit, making the new bulthaup gas hob a true innovation.
More possibilities thanks to new fronts
The attractive design of the laminate and aluminum fronts with wooden edging creates a new dimension of personalized possibilities. The natural, plank-wood effect lends the new fronts a unique appearance. Thanks to a surface treatment that is specific to bulthaup, the result is a unique, authentic natural wood effect. bulthaup gives the veneers their classical natural look by combining light and dark strips. The timber from ecologically sound stocks is treated with environmentally-friendly, water-based varnishes.
