Avant garde on the Ammersee

The Kiser family's home is a shining example of timeless design. The minimalist concept is implemented without any superfluous decoration, forming the perfect antithesis to the family's previous residence: "We used to have an old house that was full of clutter that had accumulated over the years,” recalls Gabi Kiser.

The two home-owners exerted their own particular influence on the interior design in the new house - from the silver-painted doors to the smaller details. The kitchen especially was something very close to their heart. "We wanted clarity and we wanted stainless steel,” explains Gabi Kiser, when asked about her kitchen, from where she has a breathtaking view over the Upper Bavarian Ammersee lake when cooking. "And with bulthaup b3, we got both. Our kitchen has become just the way we'd always imagined.”

The Kisers clearly defined their wishes right from the start. "We didn't want a corner, U-shaped or L-shaped kitchen. We wanted straight lines and a kitchen island. And it was important that we had enough storage space too,” says Gabi Kiser. The floor-standing version of bulthaup b3, combined with tall units, satisfies this wish with flair. Apart from a refrigerator and dishwasher, there are no handles in the kitchen. All the doors and drawers open with the Touch system.

"I'm often asked whether I'm not constantly leaving finger marks on the stainless steel, but it's really not a problem. The material is much more resistant than you think,” explains the lady of the house, who is a keen cook. In the Kisers' home, the kitchen has become the heart of the house, a place where living and cooking go hand in hand.
